Stewarts Root Beer

Stewarts root beer originated in 1924. This great root beer was how Frank Stewart the maker of Stewarts root beer gained most of his income as a school teacher. And soon after he made his stand he made his first drive through location. And this small 1920's root beer company evolved and grew into what it is today. A root beer company that has stayed around for over 75 years

Virgils micro brewed root beer

The Virgils root beer was first started in 1916. This root beer was one of their first. They only use natural ingredients.
Sold in 12 oz. bottles
Gluten free
med. carbonation
pretty dark
low carbs.
smells like saspirilla
sweetened with licorice, vanilla, and cinnamon
great with summer foods.

Thomas Kemper

Thomas Kempler was first brewed for an Oktober fest in 1990. Then soon it largely grew and was soon used at a November fest. And today you can buy it at many grocery stores around America.

old town root beer company


Old Town Root Beer was created in Temecula, CA. Its owners John and Cory McGomery developed this brand in 2001. The original recipe was written on onion skin paper found in a family bible from Johns grandfather who was alive in the 1800's.

The Boylan Bttlg co. was founded in 1891. Boylan Root Beer was one of the first companies to create a carbonated beverage.

Crater lake rootbeer


The home made root beer was created by the Gouverneur family in Indiana after visiting Crater lake.  And since then one of their sons have created a variety of different flavors of soda.

It comes in 12 oz. bottles.
Best served warm and is made localy in Portland Oregon.
It can be found in Oregon and Washington.

IBC Diet

The IBC Root Beer  was created in 1919 by the Griesediek family in St. Louis. Then the independent root beer company was closed and purchased by the Kranzberg family. Then the popularity started to slowly rise in the 1920's and soon was available in many top restaurants.

It is best served cold with pizza.
It is Nutty, vanilla, and a litttle sasperela.

hansen's root beer

Founded in 1935 in southern california by Hubert Hansen and his three sons.And since then they have created a variety of different flavors and sodas.caffeine: non

I liked it for many reasons such as the color, flavor. The flavor has a huge amount of carmel, color is  medium. I highly recommend drinking Hansens cold.

I liked it for many reasons such as the color, delivery, flavor, temp. It's not spicy or super sweet. It is mild with a great full finish. It has low carbonation. I had the draft which was dark. The staff recommended to try it in a root beer float.

taste (sweetness ,flavor,etc):A hint of sweetness with a strong crisp body of sarsaparilla but not spicy. 10
carbonation: very low with a long drink ability time without going flat. 10
smell: vanilla sarsaparilla 
head: when first poured 1/8 inch of head. Head diminished very quickly.  5
delivery (draft ,bottle ,or can): draft in a glass (non-mug). Room temp- but you could not drink it any other way it just would not be the same. 10
